The appellant, Litan Saha, was found guilty of committing an offence under Section 376(2)(n)/376(AB) of IPC read with Section 6 of the POCSO Act, 2012, for repeatedly raping his minor stepdaughter over 7 years. The trial court sentenced him to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 10,000. The appellant appealed against this judgment. The prosecution examined 6 witnesses, including the victim girl, who testified that the accused had been committing indecent acts with her since she was 7 years old. The medical examination of the victim girl also revealed evidence of recent sexual intercourse.
