The dispute was about the validity of certain clauses in a compromise decree and the entitlement to pension benefits and property division after the death of Kasireddy Ramana Kumar Reddy. The plaintiffs, Kasireddi Parvathamma and her daughter, claimed that the compromise decree was invalid and that they were entitled to the pension benefits and a share of the property. The defendants, Vijaya and her children, contested these claims. The trial court partly decreed the suit, which was then appealed and partly allowed by the first appellate court. The plaintiffs then filed a second appeal.
